Get to Know Our Keynote, Aimee Copeland

Get ready to be inspired.

You may have heard about Aimee Copeland in the news a while back. WordCamp Atlanta 2018’s keynote speaker is a 30-year-old necrotizing fasciitis survivor and quadruple amputee.

In May of 2012, Aimee contracted flesh-eating bacteria from an injury after falling from a homemade zip line. Against all the odds and medical knowledge, through faith, determination, and love, she survived this insidious disease after four months in the hospital and the amputation of all four of her limbs. Over the past six years, Aimee has discovered that all obstacles in life can serve as tests of spirit and strength.
