Thanks, everybody. You came, you engaged, you contributed. And you made WordCamp Atlanta 2018 a success.

How come school was never this much fun? Or, put another way, why would over 600 people skip their well-deserved weekend to stream into classes they weren’t required to take?

Clearly something else was going on here. It might be going too far to call it magical. But it was pretty special. You were there. You felt it too. That’s what it’s like to be part of a community.

In the days ahead, we’ll all digest the lessons, and explore the resources we found out about. In the months ahead, we’ll continue our education and community engagement at local WordPress Meetups. And in the year ahead, we’ll make plans to attend other WordCamps, including WordCamp Atlanta 2019 next spring.

Til then, the WCATL organizers want to thank everyone for bringing and sharing their unique perspectives. Together, we all embody the creative diversity that’s at the heart and soul of the WordPress world.

Welcome back for the final day of WordCamp Atlanta

Sometimes, when you go to camp, it rains. Luckily, WCATL is all indoors. Even better, there’s another full day of amazing sessions, fun networking, and Happiness Bar wisdom to take advantage of before we all return to, well, real life.

Yesterday’s informative and insightful programs, as well last night’s WC After Party, were both huge successes. But of course you knew that – you were there. The Graffiti Wall displayed the unique creative instincts of WordPressers. And attendees discovered how our sponsoring companies can help make them better at what they do. Let’s build on that momentum today.

Coming in from out-of-town? The WordCamp crowd will be staying at Hilton Atlanta.

Unfortunately, the WordCamp room block at the Hilton is already sold out.

Other options for local overnight accommodations are here. Last year, some WordCamp attendees also found places to stay through Airbnb.

For those who have already booked at the Hilton, their local phone number is 404-659-2000. The address is 255 Courtland St. NE, Atlanta GA 30303. Their website is here. Self-parking is $25 a day. Check-in is at 4, and check-out at 11. There’s complimentary wi-fi at the Hilton.

The hotel is just four blocks north of WordCamp Atlanta’s location at Loudermilk Center (see map). And it’s about four blocks from the MARTA Peachtree Center train station in the heart of downtown.

To get from the Atlanta Airport to the hotel, you can take any MARTA train to that station for $2.50, or you can go with Uber, Lyft, a taxi, or an airport shuttle.
