This year at WordCamp, we are splitting up the beginners day into three workshops, one of the workshops will be for people getting started with WordPress.
If you’ve heard about WordPress but didn’t know where to start, or tried to get started and became overwhelmed, now you have an opportunity to move forward with a guiding hand.
From the start of the day to the end, we will will guide you through the process of using WordPress. You will be getting around the dashboard, adding text, images and extra functionality on an actual site that we set up for you that you can continue to use after WordCamp. We will have lots of volunteers on hand to help should you need a little extra attention.
Bring your laptop and we will have a new WordPress site setup for each of you ready to go.
Where is the location, time and date of this workshop.
All details are here on the website. March 18th at the Loudermilk Center in Atlanta.
Please tell me when tickets will be available and how to buy one.
Tickets are available now on this page.

Is this for WordPress.org?
The WordPress 101 workshop includes sites hosted on WordPress.com AND WordPress.org sites.
Confused about beginner sessions on Friday, are all 3 running concurrent with each other ??
Yes, Emer. These are 3 workshops running concurrently. Attendees will purchase one ticket for the workshop of their choice. A separate ticket is required for admission on the weekend.
Knowing what little you do of me and my website, do you suggest I do the WP101 or the beginning design (I think that’s the second one listed)? I needed a lot of handholding to get our site opened and started, so…thinking either one, but maybe go through 101?
Marylu, I think the WP 101 is the better choice for you.
Thanks. I got my tickets, didn’t want to wait and that’s what I signed up for. I’m sure I’ll learn new things and I can be reminded of things I’m supposed to know.
Can I be on a Wait list for the beginner workshop that’s sold out. I really want to attend!! Thank you!
I would like to be put on the Wait List as well please!
Your names have been added to a list. Please note that this workshop is currently overbooked. I encourage you to purchase the 2-day General Admission ticket that includes sessions for everyone.
I would like to be added to the wait list for WordCamp please. I look forward to attend.
