Have questions about setting up your first website? Getting stuck on the basics? You&#8217;re in the right place, so join us on Friday, May 3, from 9am to 4pm.<\/p>\n<p>The great news is that no matter where you are on your journey, after you take this first step, you will be a ninja to someone else. Here is where you begin to really learn, and let your ninja-ness shine.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s just one requirement: <strong>Bring your laptop!<\/strong> (plus your Username and Password<strong> if<\/strong> you already have a WordPress site set up)<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The WordPress Beginners Friday Workshop will be divided into 2 parts. In the morning, we&#8217;ll go through the basic components of websites and how to make smart choices around them. A few of the things we&#8217;ll discuss are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is a domain name and where to buy them<\/li>\n<li>What is a hosting account and why you might need one<\/li>\n<li>What are themes and plugins<\/li>\n<li>How to navigate the dashboard<\/li>\n<li>What\u2019s a widget<\/li>\n<li>How to keep your site updated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The afternoon session will be broken into 3 mini-sessions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A deeper dive into the intro topics, with a Q and A to address your specific issues<\/li>\n<li>Themes and page builders<\/li>\n<li>Basic site issues you need to know about<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A team of WordPress specialists will be on hand to guide you throughout the day.
