Good design is important no matter what the medium. Making the transition from print to web has been an ongoing and evolving education. There are certain constants as well as plenty of differences between the two. I’d like to share some of the things I’ve learned as a designer that will help others who feel like the learning curve is overwhelming. I’m a graphic designer who will likely never write original code, so WordPress has made the web a friendlier, more inviting place for me to work. Once a print piece is on press, at the bindery and then sent to the mailhouse, there’s a definite finality to the process, which is completely different than the web.
