There are 5 days to go until WordCamp Atlanta open the door to a weekend of excitement, great content, and WordPress mayhem!

Ok, so maybe not “mayhem” but tons of fun to be had by all! We’re excited that you’ve chosen to be a part of the event and we’re upset that not everyone will be able to attend. There’s a bitter-sweet feeling of being “sold out” of tickets as we’re glad we’ve been able to financially put the camp together but sad that not everyone who expressed interest in being there can actually be there

C’est la vie, as they say.

As we get closer to WordCamp I thought it would be worthwhile to make sure that you can get yourself as ready as possible.

Today, I want to share 3 tips that will make your Friday and Saturday the best that they can be:

1. Review the Tracks – There are four that you must consider and you’ll want to jot down the ones that you’ll want to attend – make sure to review the Schedule so you can know where to be and when to be there!
2. Bring your gear! – This might sound obvious but this includes more than just your notebook computer. Make sure you have business cards ready or anything else that you may want to share with other attendees. If Wifi fails (and we hope it doesn’t) you’ll want to make sure you have a backup ready (analogue it if you want!) Remember, you’ll get out of the event as much as you put in so dress to impress (you don’t have to wear a suit and tie, I’m just being metaphorical) and bring out your A Game!
3. Aim to Connect – The goal of the event is to not only get great content and learn a thing or two but to connect with others. Begin preparing yourself now for the “downtime” to work on building some of those relationships that you’ll create this week. Who knows, it might spart a new venture or business opportunity! WordCamp is more than just sitting there and listening to speakers, it’s about getting involved with other people’s lives.
